At Friend of Audrey, we advocate for making better, conscious choices when shopping for your wardrobe. In preparation for the warmer months ahead, we have created two edits within our collection, The Modernist, that celebrate beauty in its most natural form. The Huntington and Astor ranges are our twist on classic summer staples that use natural fabrications of Linen and Cotton as part of our promise to reduce our environmental footprint.
Derived from the flax plant, linen is hailed for its durability and versatility. It is also praised for using far less water than cotton to produce. Whilst for that reason it can be a good alternative to cotton, Linen unfortunately wrinkles far more easily and is hard to maintain. In order to get the best of both worlds, we have sourced a unique linen-cotton blend fabrication that is somewhat wrinkle resistant and does less harm to the environment.
If you’re looking for elevated basics that are unique and long-lasting, you’ll love our edit below.
The Huntington range is simply effortless. It perfectly highlights strong, feminine beauty with pieces that blend natural simplicity and quality tailoring into one. The pieces are complimented with 100% natural cotton lining that is light and breathable in the warmer months. Each piece is crafted with bespoke speckled stone buttons. Whether you are dressing for the office or a Sunday brunch with the girls, throwing on one of the Huntington pieces will make you feel instantly put-together.
The Astor range features a classic canvas of white for a fresh, minimalist look, accented with lustrous natural shell buttons, which lend an airy seaside charm. The collection features a classic pair of wide leg pants, crop top, midi skirt, mini skirt and a perfect day dress. Are you feeling like it’s summer already?
Our mission is to produce carefully executed garments that are slowly developed from initial concept, to the final product. That’s why every season we aim to offer capsule collections with elegant pieces for the modern woman that will stand the test of time. This is our little step towards creating a better future.
