          We value long lasting quality, please allow regular care to extend the life of your garment. Tips to keep your garments in impeccable condition at all times and make your favourite pieces last longer.

 

General Tips

  • Wash whites and light colours separately from dark colours.
  • Always read the care label and washing instructions before wash. 
  • We recommend the use PH-neutral detergents, which is best for delicates. 
  • Turn your garments inside out before wash.
  • High temperatures are always harmful to fabrics. Try to avoid when possible. 

 

 

     

    WOOL

              Wool is a natural fibre which can come from a variety of animals. Wool is most commonly used in winter garments such as jumpers. The wool fibre Is most valued for its textured appearance and warmth. Wool has great insulating abilities, as well as high moisture absorption. The quality and feel of wool varies with the breed of sheep.

    The wool we use is Responsible Wool Standard Certified. An industry tool designed to recognize the best practices of farmers, ensuring that wool comes from farms with a progressive approach to managing their land, and from sheep that have been treated responsibly.


    MERINO WOOL

              Merino wool is a thinner and softer alternative to regular wool. The fibre is a natural fibre, grown by Merino sheep. Merino wool specilises in helping to regulate body temperature through. The fibre features natural abilities being able to keep warmth in and transporting heat out. 

     

    ALPACA

              This soft, lightweight, natural fibre comes from the alpaca. Alpaca is a popular choice for winter essentials due to its soft hand feel. The alpaca fibre is a strong, elastic, and tear-resistant fiber and keeps you warm while staying lightweight. It is soft, hypoallergenic, and eco-friendly.

     

    CASHMERE

              Cashmere is one of the softest and most luxurious forms of wool, characterized by the fineness of the fibers. Cashmere is incredibly soft with good insulating properties and comes from cashmere goats and pashmina goats. 

     

     

    How to care:

    • Wet wool stretches easily and will lose their shape when spun dry or hung vertically. Gently roll to draw the water out and let it dry naturally, away from direct sunlight and high heat.
    • Knits should be gently folded and kept flat in drawers. Never store knitwear on a hanger, as it will stretch and loose its shape.
    • Always turn knits inside out when washing to avoid excess pilling. If pilling occurs, opt for an electric lint remover to gently shave off pills. Avoid pulling by hand.

     

     

       

      LINEN

                Linen is a natural fibre derived from the flax crop. When spun into a fabric, linen is extremely versatile. Linen is a popular fabric choice for summer due to its heat regulating abilities. Similar to merino wool, linen keeps the wearer cooler in the warmer months and warmer in the cooler months. 

      Linen has the best result when washed with cold to lukewarm water. Hand wash or machine wash your linen gently. When drying, avoid too much sunlight exposure. Cool iron on the reverse side to rid of wrinkles. 

       

      RAMIE

                Ramie is a linen-like fibre made from the stem of a nettle plant native to China, Boehmeria Nivea (China Grass). Ramie features a shine, giving a silky appearance. The fibre is exceptionally breathable and maintains shape well. Ramie is not prone to wrinkling. Ramie features a dry hand feel, with a slight rough texture. 

      The ramie fibre is easy to care for. The strength increases when wet and is not prone to shrinking or twisting. Ramie is quick to dry, becoming smoother with each wash. 

       

      COTTON

                Cotton is a natural fibre which comes from the seedpod of the cotton plant. Cotton is most commonly spun into a plain or twill weave. These different weaves contain different textures, weight and hand feel. Breathability and absorbency are the two main characteristics of cotton. 

      Cotton is a strong fabric, being able to withstand high temperatures. It is drycleanable and machine washable. The cotton fibre is best dried in shade or is able to withstand tumble drying. Use a warm/hot iron to press out the unwanted wrinkles. 

       

      VEGAN LEATHER

                Vegan Leather is a conscious consumer basic. Our leather fabrication is composed of 100% Island fibre, a natural alternative to the common polyurethane leather. The leather is soft and smooth to touch, with flexibility and durability. 

      Vegan leather is easier to wash then expected. Wash your vegan leather garments in cold/warm water either by hand or on a gentle machine wash. Dry the garment flat in shade. Avoid applying direct heat to the garments. Our vegan leather is delicate, please avoid sharp objects when wearing and storing. 

       

      SYNTHETICS

                Synthetic fabrics are manmade. Examples include Viscose, Modal, Polyester, Acrylic, Polyamide and ElastanePlease read care labels for appropriate wash and care instructions.
